A good proposal tells us five things

  • A working title and a short description of the book.
  • The readership you are writing for — students, practitioners, policymakers, general readers.
  • The programme or collection you believe it belongs in.
  • Where you are in the writing, and your expected completion date.
  • A short biography and a note on why this book matters now.
